On Sunday 23rd June, the Wanaka Waterski Club held their annual “Shortest Day Waterski Event” with members of the Upper Clutha Children’s Medical Trust collecting the funds donated. It was a beautiful, calm and relatively warm winter’s day, and a large crowd of onlookers watched the many skiers take to the water.
The Upper Clutha Children’s Medical Trust is extremely grateful to Graeme Vallance, The Wanaka Waterski Club and its members who provided boats and fuel, barbecue and sausages with onions and tomato sauce, a hot tub for after-ski warmth, along with mulled wine. Skiers were provided with a voucher from The Lake Bar for a free beverage. All at no cost to the Trust!
