One of the joys of the work we fund is hearing how a child is going, term by term, from the people who see them most. We recently heard from a tutor supporting a child with diagnosed learning difficulties, and the update was a lovely one to read.
“She arrives to every lesson with a smile and puts her full effort into each part of it. This term, a visual timetable was introduced to help her track the pace of the lesson, and it’s made a real difference to how settled she feels through the session. She really come into herself too, excitedly talking through her passion for sports before sitting down to practise paragraph writing about it.”
This may sound small from the outside, but it’s huge progress in this child’s life.
